Arbitrum dominates in DeFi TVL, no doubt. But when I look at raw speed, finality, and real users @SeiNetwork is miles ahead. Arbitrum’s a proven L2 with $3.5B+ TVL and strong #DeFi roots, but it’s still bound by Ethereum’s design with ~50 TPS, ~14-min finality, and periodic fee spikes. It’s great for composability, however it’s not built for instant trading or gaming. Sei took the opposite path. – It’s a L1 purpose-built for high-frequency execution without sequencer, batching delay, or fraud window. – Twin-Turbo consensus and parallelized blocks, Sei processes 4-6M tx/day, sub-400ms finality, and fees under $0.0002 live on mainnet. Since the SIP-3 EVM upgrade, Sei’s become a serious alternative for Solidity devs. It’s now 100% Ethereum compatibility, now expanding into RWAs, DeFi, and gaming. The Giga upgrade is already live on devnet, pushing 200K+ TPS that’s 4x Solana’s live throughput and easily 2x MegaETH’s projections. Ecosystem numbers back it up: – 600K+ DAU, 8.8M gaming wallets. – $1.3B TVL (+5,000% YoY). – $1.53B DEX ATH in July. – $60M liquidity inflow from Ethereum & Arbitrum in 30 days. Meanwhile, Arbitrum still depends on Ethereum for finality. That’s fine for safety, but it limits its ceiling for real-time apps. Sei is already where others claim they’re going, high throughput, live adoption, and a self-contained performance layer. At a $1.4B MCAP, it’s cheaper than Sui or Aptos yet faster, busier, and more application-ready. Others are still optimizing proofs. @SeiNetwork is optimizing execution.
