Have you come across Talus Network yet?
It’s one of the more interesting projects quietly shaping the intersection of blockchain and AI.
Unlike many chains that simply integrate AI tools, @Talus_Labs is building an entire Layer 1 designed for autonomous agents digital entities capable of acting, transacting, and learning directly on-chain.
Built with the Move programming language, @Talus_Labs combines high performance, resource-oriented safety, and strong on-chain logic to support what they call “intelligent agents.”
These agents can interact with contracts, trigger workflows, or even make financial or governance decisions on behalf of users.
What makes @Talus_Labs different is its concept of Mirror Objects a bridge between off-chain assets (like data, compute power, or models) and their on-chain representations.
This allows AI agents to tap into real-world resources while maintaining verifiable control and accountability through the blockchain.
The Talus ecosystem also includes SDKs and toolkits for developers, giving them everything they need to create, deploy, and monetize their own agents.
An entire marketplace is planned where agents, datasets, models, and compute can be traded or rented, forming a true agent economy.
On the infrastructure side, @Talus_Labs runs a Proof-of-Stake consensus using the Cosmos SDK and CometBFT, while integrating the MoveVM for secure and efficient smart contract execution.
It also supports interoperability through IBC, meaning agents can operate and communicate across other chains expanding the scope far beyond its native network.
The vision goes beyond tech: it’s about democratizing AI.
Instead of a few centralized players owning data, compute, and models, Talus imagines a world where individuals and developers can deploy their own agents, own their data, and share in the value they create.
Some examples are easy to picture:
• DeFi strategies managed by autonomous agents
• Gaming worlds populated by adaptive, player-owned characters
• DAOs enhanced by agents that monitor, vote, and act intelligently
The project has already attracted attention raising around $9M (with a $6M round led by Polychain Capital), launching its testnet in September 2025, and releasing a detailed litepaper on its architecture and token model.
While still early and in active development, Talus represents a meaningful attempt to define what a blockchain for intelligent agents could look like.
It’s a technically ambitious vision, but if executed well, it could mark the beginning of a new layer in Web3 one where AI doesn’t just exist on-chain, but acts on it.
