How do I change my phone number?

I can log in to my account

On the app

1. Open your OKX app and go to Main Menu

   

   Open Main Menu page

2. Select Account settings and go to Security

3. Select Phone under the Authentication methods section

4. Select Change phone number and follow on-screen instructions to enter your phone number in the New phone number field
   Note: it's mandatory to link both your phone number and email during the authentication setup.

5. We'll send a 6-digit verification code to both your new and current phone numbers. Enter the code accordingly.
   Note: select Unable to verify if you can't complete the verification

6. Enter the two-factor authentication (2FA) code to continueYou'll receive an email/SMS confirmation upon successfully changing your phone number

On the web

1. Go to Profile and select Security

2. Select Manage phone number under the Authentication methods section

3. Select Change phone number and follow on-screen instructions to enter your phone number in the New phone number field
   Note: it's mandatory to link both your phone number and email during the authentication setup.

4. We'll send a 6-digit verification code to both your new and current phone numbers. Enter the code accordingly.
   Note: select Unable to verify if you can't complete the verification

5. Enter the two-factor authentication (2FA) code to continue

6. You'll receive an email/SMS confirmation upon successfully changing your phone number

I can't log in to my account

You can unlink your phone number on the 2-step verification page, or contact customer support to reset your phone number. You can learn more about how it works here.

Note:

• You're not allowed to perform withdrawals or use P2P trading to sell crypto within 24 hours after you've changed your phone number

• You can change or reset your phone number, but you can't remove it.
